After the storm, a rainbow always appears.” Liu Xiaodan, 28, used to be a dance instructor at an arts school in Nanjing. On May 30, her mother was left paralyzed and nearly unconscious following a car accident. To provide round‑the‑clock care during her mother’s critical post‑surgical recovery period, Liu Xiaodan quit her job as a dance teacher.
