In the cold winter, do you break out in a sweat even when you’re not exercising? In February this year, Teacher Zhang encountered such a “strange incident”: he experienced severe headache, paleness, profuse sweating, and soon lost consciousness.

 

 
Following emergency transport to the hospital, Teacher Zhang was diagnosed with a ruptured intracranial aneurysm. After treatment, his condition has stabilized somewhat, but he remains confused and in a minimally conscious state, with complete paralysis of the limbs and an inability to speak. He is receiving enteral nutrition via nasogastric tube and suffers from incontinence of both urine and feces. Upon transfer to Nanjing Zijin Hospital, GCS score of 13.
 
Following comprehensive rehabilitation therapy, including hyperbaric oxygen therapy and X-ray treatment, Teacher Zhang’s condition has been steadily improving day by day.
 

Comparison between the early stage of treatment and before discharge

Before being discharged after recovery, Teacher Zhang even chatted with the nurses in English and sang a song to bid farewell to the doctors and nurses.
