At the outset of the event, Ge Jiangping, President of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, delivered a welcoming address, extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, including Liu Yu, Vice President of the Yifu Hospital affiliated with Nanjing Medical University, and Zhao Peng, Chief Physician of the Department of Neurosurgery at Nanjing Gulou Hospital. She reviewed the performances of all participants in the inaugural themed English‑language speech competition, highlighting the positive impact of enhancing English proficiency on both individual professional growth and the hospital’s drive toward internationalization. Finally, she wished the second Young Physicians’ Speech Contest every success.
