At the gala, the hospital officially unveiled its mascot series, “Kangbao”—featuring the “Auspicious Deer” and the “Rehabilitation Duck.” As their promotional videos debuted on the big screen, the Rehabilitation Duck, with its lively and spirited demeanor, and the Auspicious Deer, gentle and endearing, instantly captured the attention of the entire audience.

The creation of these two mascots was the result of the collective participation and shared anticipation of everyone across the hospital. After an initial public call for submissions, a preliminary screening, and a vote at an expanded hospital‑wide meeting, they emerged from fifteen design proposals, embodying both the team’s collective wisdom and a sense of emotional connection. The Rehabilitation Duck was designed by Director Cui Yongxia of the Referral Center, while the Auspicious Deer was conceived by Teacher Song Yu of the Integrated Media Branding Department.
