The fragrance of winter plum blossoms fills the air, and the year draws to a close.
A beam of laser engraves a prancing steed—its head held high, hooves pounding the ground, its lithe form brimming with vitality and hope, leaping into the fresh spring. Nanjing Zijin Hospital Hosts a Festive Gala to Welcome the Year of the Horse And so, amid this symbolically charged opening, the grand curtain rose. Beams of light intertwined, and the sound of hooves drew nearer—marking the official start of a celebration that belonged to healers, to friends, and to this very moment of shared joy.

The audience was graced with a distinguished gathering, filled to capacity with esteemed guests. Experts and professors from hospitals across the country, along with friends from all walks of life, joined the entire staff of Nanjing Zijin Hospital in a joyous celebration. The evening event was co-hosted by Dr. Wang Huihan, a physician at the Jiangning Branch of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, and Mr. Wang Chao, a rehabilitation therapist at the Qinhuai Branch.

President Ge Jiangping of Nanjing Zijin Hospital took to the stage first to deliver the annual summary address. She… Looking back, our steps have been firm; looking ahead, our vision is far-reaching. Words, like a spring breeze sweeping across a tranquil lake, send ripples spreading through the heart of every listener.

Subsequently, Zhu Mingzhi, Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Association of Privately-Run Medical Institutions in his opening address, with a warm yet steady voice, he, on behalf of the Jiangsu Provincial Association of Privately Operated Medical Institutions, extended his most heartfelt New Year greetings to all those present who have devoted themselves tirelessly to the cause of healthcare.

Dance, Flow, Art, Splendor
With this, the curtain has fully risen on the gala, and an evening filled with applause, song, and laughter has officially begun. Performances presented by the dedicated staff of Nanjing Zijin Hospital have unfolded one after another, weaving a dazzling tapestry on stage.

The zither’s gentle tones flow, and the dancer’s sleeves flutter in graceful arcs. With a performance of “Blue-and-White Porcelain,” the Qinhuai Nursing Team gently unfolds the tender, lyrical charm of Jiangnan, as if ink washes were slowly diffusing beneath the moonlight.

Immediately, the majestic melody of “Loyalty to the Country” filled the venue, resonating with the heartfelt devotion of medical workers as they safeguard lives.

The original stand-up comedy show “Our Year-End Review,” presented by the Qinhuai Campus Beauty Team, captures both the weariness and the profound worth of this profession with wit and sincerity—highlighting the days and nights that shine through steadfast dedication and touch the heart with their warmth.

The Jiangning Rehabilitation Team took to the stage with a vibrant performance, presenting “Health Alert,” which seamlessly blends the serene grace of traditional Tai Chi with the lively rhythm of contemporary dance, bringing health and vitality into the new year.

Then, as the song began and the drumbeat echoed, the Jiangning medical and technical team took to the stage, wielding a guitar, a drum kit, and a flute to perform “Tianxia.” The lyrics spoke of a compassionate heart dedicated to safeguarding patients’ health, as well as an open-minded spirit yearning for progress in medicine—filled with boundless passion.

Beneath the sleeves, apricot blossoms and a gentle drizzle are concealed; at their toes, ripples dance upon the emerald waters. The Jiangning nursing team sways and pirouettes to the flowing, melodious strains of “Longing from Afar,” as if inviting the garden’s full spring splendor right before their eyes.

The tender strains of Huangmei Opera linger long, while the vibrant dance of “Zoo” ignites youthful energy. And then there’s the beatboxer, whose voice alone conjures a world of sounds—birdsong and warlike roars—immersing the audience in an unforgettable experience. In the end, all emotions converge in a heartfelt, grand chorus, as hearts on stage and in the audience surge in unison, bringing the entire performance to its emotional climax. These remarkable acts have allowed us to witness the passionate talent and radiant brilliance of our colleagues, beyond the white coats they wear.
Kangbao IP Makes a Joint Appearance
A deer (road) in purple for you—cheer up and get well soon!
This year, the Nanjing Zijin Hospital family welcomed two special new members. At the gala, the hospital officially unveiled its mascot series, “Kangbao”—featuring the “Auspicious Deer” and the “Rehabilitation Duck.” As their promotional videos debuted on the big screen, the Rehabilitation Duck, with its lively and spirited demeanor, and the Auspicious Deer, gentle and endearing, instantly captured the attention of the entire audience.

The creation of these two mascots was the result of the collective participation and shared anticipation of everyone across the hospital. After an initial public call for submissions, a preliminary screening, and a vote at an expanded hospital‑wide meeting, they emerged from fifteen design proposals, embodying both the team’s collective wisdom and a sense of emotional connection. The Rehabilitation Duck was designed by Director Cui Yongxia of the Referral Center, while the Auspicious Deer was conceived by Teacher Song Yu of the Integrated Media Branding Department. Each element of the designs reflects a deep understanding of and commitment to the hospital’s core values.

At the event, Zhu Mingzhi, Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Association of Privately-Run Medical Institutions, presented exclusive designer gifts to the two creators, expressing his appreciation and recognition for their creativity and dedication.
Shining Stars, the Power of Role Models
The gala, a harmonious blend of recognition and serendipity, infused the evening with warmth and a rhythm that quickened the heart. During the Special Contribution Award ceremony, the event solemnly invited Lu Xiao, Director of the Rehabilitation Medicine Center at Jiangsu Provincial People’s Hospital, and Zhou Suming, Director of the Intensive Care Unit at the same hospital, to present awards to four distinguished recipients: Wang Xindan, a nurse from the Qinhuai Campus; Jing Peng, a traditional Chinese medicine physician at the Rehabilitation Therapy Center; Zhang Xiaolei from the Medical Insurance Office; and Xiao Feng from the Medical Affairs Department.

On their ordinary posts, they embody an extraordinary commitment: safeguarding lives with expertise, comforting patients with meticulous care, refining processes through innovation, and fortifying the defense line with unwavering responsibility. When their names are solemnly called, lights and applause converge in an instant, illuminating the figures who have toiled day and night. This honor is not only a recognition of their past dedication but also a tribute to the original aspirations of healers, making this evening all the more profound through its genuine and moving stories.
Good luck ushers in a new journey.
In addition, the gala featured multiple rounds of prize draws, spreading New Year’s good fortune while repeatedly elevating the lively atmosphere to a fever pitch. The draws were graced by several distinguished experts who served as official presenters; with each spin coming to a halt and every name announced, cheers and applause erupted in unison. From 50 cheerful “Rehabilitation Ducks” as lucky prizes to third‑, second‑, and ultimately first‑place awards brimming with heartfelt wishes, each gift carried a cherished hope: may everyone enjoy smooth progress at work, robust health in life, and enduring happiness in the year ahead.

As the final notes of the last song faded away and the last beam of light gently dimmed, this gala—blending light and shadow, song, laughter, and heartfelt emotion—came to a successful close. It was not merely a year-end celebration; it was also a warm gathering that brought hearts together and echoed the spirit of our original aspirations. We witnessed the talent of our colleagues on stage and felt the strength of one another’s support.

The crisp, melodious sound of hooves in the New Year is like a clarion call for a new journey.
May all the staff of Nanjing Zijin Hospital carry this warmth and strength forward, and… In the new year, let us join hands and stride forward together, like a galloping steed, steadfastly and tirelessly advancing on the path of safeguarding health, and together embrace an even brighter spring. 。
