On the morning of October 10, Ge Jiangping, President of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, accompanied by the Director of the Medical Affairs Department and the Regional Directors of both hospital campuses—totaling four individuals—visited Nanchang University Affiliated Rehabilitation Hospital for a fact-finding tour and exchange. Feng Zhen, President of Nanchang University Affiliated Rehabilitation Hospital, along with heads of relevant departments, hosted a welcome reception and facilitated a symposium for discussion.

At the meeting, Dean Feng Zhen delivered a welcoming address, extending a warm welcome to Dean Ge Jiangping and his delegation. She then provided an overview of the basic profile of the president of Nanchang University Affiliated Rehabilitation Hospital, highlighting the hospital’s historical development, research platforms, patented inventions, and awards. Dean Feng expressed her hope that, through in-depth exchanges and interactive discussions at this symposium, both sides would be able to share experiences, leverage their respective strengths, and achieve mutual progress and development.

Subsequently, Dean Ge Jiangping expressed her heartfelt gratitude for Dean Feng’s warm hospitality and provided an overview of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, including its scale, current development status, and discipline-building efforts. She expressed the hope that the two institutions would strengthen their exchanges and cooperation, draw on each other’s valuable experience, and jointly advance the vigorous growth of the rehabilitation medicine field.

The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on the rehabilitation of critically ill patients and those with disorders of consciousness, sharing their clinical experiences and insights, and jointly explored the future direction of the rehabilitation field, amid a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere.

The delegation from Nanjing Zijin Hospital also visited the Rehabilitation Treatment Center of the Affiliated Rehabilitation Hospital of Nanchang University, the Sino-German Joint Laboratory for the Rehabilitation of Disorders of Consciousness, and various rehabilitation‑related medical research translation achievements.

Nanjing Zijin Hospital and the Affiliated Rehabilitation Hospital of Nanchang University are both tertiary‑level rehabilitation hospitals. Although located in Jiangsu and Jiangxi provinces respectively, they share similar guiding principles and development visions, and together contribute to building a healthy, prosperous China and advancing the cause of rehabilitation. This visit and exchange not only provided Nanjing Zijin Hospital with an opportunity to learn from its counterpart but also established a platform for future collaboration and mutual connectivity between the two institutions. Moving forward, we hope that both hospitals will deepen their partnership, co‑create innovative solutions, and deliver tangible health benefits to patients and the broader rehabilitation community.

Earlier, on October 9, a delegation from Nanjing Zijin Hospital visited the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Tianjin University General Hospital and posed for a group photo.
