On the morning of April 18, 2024, a delegation of seven, including Fang Jie, President of Xiamen Hong’ai Rehabilitation Hospital—a tertiary-level rehabilitation hospital—Vice President Chen Jian, and heads of various departments, paid a visit to Nanjing Zijin Hospital (Jiangning Campus) for an exchange and tour.
Accompanied by our hospital’s president, Ge Jiangping, executive vice president Gao Zhiqiang, and other medical, nursing, and administrative staff, the delegation from Hong’ai Rehabilitation Hospital first toured several specialized departments, including our hyperbaric oxygen therapy center, the rehabilitation treatment hall, and the intensive care unit with high‑dependency beds, before proceeding to the academic lecture hall for a symposium and exchange.
At the symposium, Ge Jiangping, President of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, extended a warm welcome to Fang Jie, President of Xiamen Hong’ai Rehabilitation Hospital, and his delegation. He then outlined the hospital’s development journey and shared insights on key areas, including discipline building and talent pipeline cultivation, rehabilitation services and accreditation, as well as the hospital’s management system.
Executive Vice President Gao Zhiqiang delivered a special report titled “Development of the Critical Care Rehabilitation Discipline and Medical–Nursing Quality Control.” Through an overview of the characteristics of patients admitted to our hospital, the historical evolution of the CNRS scale, the establishment of a quality‑control system, existing challenges, and corresponding corrective measures, he highlighted our hospital’s approaches to building a robust critical care rehabilitation program and implementing medical‑nursing quality‑control practices.
Subsequently, the participants from both sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on such topics as specialized rehabilitation programs, talent development and succession planning, nursing team management, hospital policy and institutional framework, research projects, and the interpretation of the CNRS scale.
Director Fang of Xiamen Hong’ai Rehabilitation Hospital stated that, through this visit and exchange, he found that both hospitals share a high degree of alignment in upholding a people-centered development philosophy and actively fulfilling their social responsibilities. He summarized the experience with the “three dimensions” of management—“strong governance,” “high‑level expertise,” and “compassionate care.” Director Fang also expressed his gratitude to the leadership team of Nanjing Zijin Hospital for their generous sharing of management insights, and he looks forward to more multifaceted, in‑person and virtual collaborations and exchanges between the two institutions, ensuring frequent and sustained interaction.
This visit and exchange by the Xiamen Hong’ai Rehabilitation Hospital will further motivate our hospital to advance reforms in its management system and enhance quality‑control efforts, thereby enabling us to achieve new milestones and reach new heights across all areas of our operations.
