It tells the touching story of Ding Ying, who used love to awaken her husband, Jiang Li, from a vegetative state.

On April 28, CCTV-13’s “News Live Room” also aired their story.

In July 2020, Jiang Li was involved in a car accident. After emergency treatment, he was saved but subsequently fell into a vegetative state that lasted six months. During this time, his wife, Ding Ying, remained by his side at Nanjing Zijin Hospital, using her love to help awaken her husband from his comatose condition. Finally, on December 29, 2022, Jiang Li was discharged from the hospital.

After being discharged, Ding Ying continued to document every detail of Jiang Li’s recovery online. She also established a support group for families of patients with traumatic brain injuries and began selling fruit and agricultural products authorized by Xian Nong through an online platform. Relying on her own efforts, she returned the more than 180,000 yuan in donations she had previously raised to their original donors. Ding Ying said that at the time, this sum was a lifeline for her and her husband. Now that they have weathered the storm, she hopes this money can be channeled through charitable platforms to help even more people in need.

On March 30, 2023, to help Jiang Li recover more effectively, Ding Ying brought her husband back to Nanjing Zijin Hospital, embarking on a new chapter of rehabilitation treatment. It was during this time that China Central Television learned about the story of Jiang Li and Ding Ying; reporters visited Nanjing Zijin Hospital and reported on their journey.
