Qian Yangming, President of the China Association of Private Medical Institutions, and his delegation paid a visit to Nanjing Zijin Hospital to conduct research and provide guidance.
On March 19, Qian Yangming, President of the China Association of Private Medical Institutions, led a delegation to Nanjing Zijin Hospital for an on-site inspection and exchange. Zhu Mingzhi, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Association of Privately Operated Medical Institutions, accompanied the visit. Ge Jiangping, President of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, together with the hospital’s leadership team, heads of various departments, and key management personnel, hosted the delegation throughout the visit and participated in the discussions.
During the field visit, the hospital administration accompanied the association’s leadership on an on-site inspection of the hospital’s key departments and specialized treatment areas. President Qian Yangming and his delegation conducted in-depth visits to core units, including the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center, the Brain‑Reanimation Center, and the High‑Dependency Unit of the Department of Critical Care Medicine. Through on‑site observations and detailed inquiries, they gained a comprehensive understanding of the hospital’s departmental layout, medical equipment configuration, and the implementation of clinical diagnosis and treatment.
At the symposium, Dean Ge Jiangping first extended a warm welcome on behalf of the hospital to the association’s leadership. He then provided a detailed overview of Nanjing Zijin Hospital’s development journey and delivered a special report on the hospital’s current stage of growth. Dean Ge emphasized that building a robust talent pipeline and enhancing research and innovation capabilities are the core drivers of the hospital’s high‑quality development. Taking this visit as an important opportunity, the hospital will fully leverage its role as the leading institution of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Professional Committee to continue advancing the standardization and professionalization of the rehabilitation medicine sector, thereby delivering higher‑quality, more efficient, and safer medical rehabilitation services to patients and earnestly implementing the industry‑development vision of the China Association of Private Medical Institutions.
At the meeting, Vice President and Secretary-General Zhu Mingzhi presented a work report on the overall development of privately-run healthcare in Jiangsu Province. He systematically summarized the achievements of the Jiangsu Provincial Association of Privately-Run Medical Institutions in recent years, highlighting progress in Party building leadership, industry standardization, and brand promotion, while also outlining plans for the association’s future direction. He emphasized that, moving forward, the association will adopt a more pragmatic approach and implement more robust measures, focusing on the core goal of high-quality industry development. It will continue to enhance service effectiveness, provide strong regulatory guidance, and foster industry-wide collaboration, thereby steadily strengthening its capacity to serve the sector and expanding its influence. These efforts will help ensure the sustained, healthy, and standardized growth of privately-run healthcare in Jiangsu Province, contributing further to the construction of “Healthy Jiangsu.”
President Qian Yangming highly commended the achievements of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, particularly recognizing its technological innovations in the field of critical care rehabilitation, its deep and sustained development in hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and the series of groundbreaking findings it has attained in the research on the “Nanjing Scale for Recovery from Disorders of Consciousness.” He stated that Nanjing Zijin Hospital’s pioneering efforts in building specialized rehabilitation programs and formulating industry standards have provided valuable, nationwide benchmarks for the development of privately operated healthcare institutions.
President Qian Yangming also pointed out that since its official establishment on June 18, 2022, the Jiangsu Provincial Association of Privately-Run Medical Institutions has consistently focused on high-quality industry development. Its initiatives have been implemented in a solid and effective manner, significantly contributing to the formation of a diversified healthcare landscape in Jiangsu Province and yielding notable achievements in sectoral advancement. Moving forward, the China Association of Non-Public Medical Institutions will further deepen exchanges and cooperation with the Jiangsu Provincial Association of Privately-Run Medical Institutions, establishing a regular mechanism for communication and collaboration. Together, they will strive to promote higher‑quality, more sustainable development of the privately‑run healthcare sector in Jiangsu and across the country, injecting greater vitality into the cause of China’s medical, health, and wellness sectors.
