In March, this is how we spend it.
In March, Nanjing Zijin Hospital paid its highest respects and extended its warmest wishes to all female employees through a series of carefully planned events, jointly celebrating the arrival of the 116th International Women’s Day.
Selection and Commendation of the Most Beautiful Women Pioneers
The Fifth “Most Beautiful Female Strivers” Selection and Commendation Ceremony of Nanjing Zijin Hospital was successfully held on March 6 at the Jiangning Campus. In his address, President Ge Jiangping stated with deep emotion and conviction: “Women hold up half the sky; and at Nanjing Zijin Hospital, where female employees account for as much as 71%, women truly shoulder more than half of that responsibility.” Here, female staff members are not only the backbone of the hospital’s development but also play a vital role in safeguarding patients’ health and well‑being. From clinical care and nursing to technical specialties and rehabilitation, as well as administrative and logistical support, every busy figure at each post demonstrates through their actions that women enjoy equal opportunities for professional growth. This is a spirit that shines brightly in their respective fields, maintaining an unwavering resolve—“women need not yield to men”—even in the face of adversity.
This recognition is not only a tribute to the individual awardees, but also a collective salute to all female employees for shouldering their responsibilities with care, patience, and compassion. Behind the glory lies day after day of steadfast dedication; amid the applause stands the heartfelt respect of the entire hospital.

Put your blessings into a little flower bag.
As the earth warms and spring deepens with each passing day, even the information desk has blossomed with a unique kind of beauty: delicate, soft little flowers woven into charming tote bags, adorned with dainty floral brooches—perfect little gifts for the women around us. These blooms are tender yet resilient, much like every woman in our lives—gentle but not weak, strong yet always reaching toward the sun. May each of us carry, in the bag of our own journey, stories that defy definition, and shine with a light all our own.
After collecting their commemorative gifts, the guests smiled and posed in front of the photo backdrop, capturing their own festive moments in the golden light of March.
Make your own lipstick and give it to yourself.
On the morning of March 7 and the afternoon of March 10, a unique lipstick‑making workshop was warmly held at the Jiangning and Qinhuai campuses, respectively.
The scene was filled with a soothing, fragrant atmosphere. Women who are usually quite familiar with lipstick found themselves crafting it by hand for the first time, listening intently and working with focused concentration. Pigment powders slowly dissolved in essential oils, transforming into a delicate liquid; beeswax pellets gently melted on the candle holder, releasing a soft, warm glow. Each person became fully immersed in their creation, pouring their heart into it, as if time itself had paused.
While waiting for the lipstick to set, everyone also learned the secrets of lipstick-making from the instructor—everything from the ingredients used in essential‑oil lipsticks to how they differ from commercially available ones—gaining a wealth of knowledge.
Finally, the long-awaited moment has arrived—carefully unmolding each lipstick, their smooth surfaces adorned with distinctive prints, they emerge in all their splendor. Cradled in the palm of your hand, they brim with a sense of accomplishment and joy. May every woman, even as she hurries along life’s path, remember to pause for a moment—to cherish herself.
