[Litchi News] “Once you’re better, let’s go meet Hou Minghao together!”

Recently, Nanjing Zijin Hospital erupted in cheers as 15-year-old Xiao Le, who had been diagnosed with Guillain–Barré syndrome, successfully passed the first critical hurdle of his recovery: after 25 days, he remained off the ventilator for a continuous 72 hours.

Guillain–Barré syndrome is a relatively rare autoimmune disorder. Since Xiaole was diagnosed in May of this year, her condition deteriorated rapidly within just a few days, progressing from numbness in the limbs to involvement of the respiratory muscles, leaving her dependent on a ventilator in the ICU. Watching the young girl, who had once been preparing for her high school entrance exam, transform into a “fragile angel” lying in a hospital bed, the medical team moved swiftly to wean her off the ventilator once her condition stabilized.

The process of weaning off the ventilator was both painful and agonizing. During this time, the rehabilitation therapist happened to discover that Xiaole was a devoted fan of Hou Minghao, which became a key avenue for providing her with psychological encouragement. They not only covered her hospital room with Hou Minghao–themed merchandise but also took turns keeping meticulous check‑ins in his official online forum, all in an effort to motivate her to come off the ventilator as soon as possible.

With love as the wall and “stars” as the camp, the power of idols, the steadfast care of medical staff, and the unwavering support of family have together built a fortress of love around little Le. Let’s all cheer for her, hoping she recovers soon and returns to her everyday life.
