On the evening of August 5, at the Jiangning ward of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, a group of doctors and nurses walked slowly, pushing a birthday cake on a cart. Moments later, a birthday song rang out from one of the patient rooms.
 

For Mr. Wang, the “birthday celebrant,” this year’s birthday is particularly special. In mid-June, while engaging in morning exercises, he suddenly suffered a cerebral hemorrhage. Following emergency treatment and surgery, he was transferred to Nanjing Zijin Hospital on July 5 to undergo further rehabilitation.
