Medical staff at Zijin Hospital enthusiastically participate in national-level continuing education programs.

The 2015 Clinical Training Course on Practical Rehabilitation Skills for Aphasia (a national continuing education program) was held from December 18 to 21, 2015, at the Affiliated Brain Hospital of Nanjing Medical University. Eleven renowned experts from across the country delivered specialized lectures.

“Aphasia is an acquired impairment of language and language‑related cognitive processes resulting from organic brain lesions, manifesting specifically in the domains of speaking, listening, reading, and writing.”

Director Xie Yuxiao of Beijing succinctly outlined this definition: “I’m here, and I’ll help you.” She advises that in rehabilitation training, one should offer more encouragement and praise, and less blame and criticism.

Director Shao Weibo delivered a special lecture titled “The Flexible Application of Cognitive Facilitation Therapy and Functional Reorganization Theory in Aphasia,” systematically outlining everything from the historical evolution of aphasia treatment to the key components of training for common types of aphasia, all presented in a lively and engaging manner.

A total of 22 medical and technical staff members from our hospital participated in this on-site academic exchange on practical clinical aphasia rehabilitation techniques, gaining significant insights and laying a solid foundation for enhancing both diagnostic capabilities and rehabilitation treatment methods.
