Xiao Cheng, a college student who was tragically involved in a car accident, was once paralyzed and confined to his bed, leaving his family in despair. However, after several months of meticulous treatment, Xiao Cheng’s limb functions gradually recovered, and he is now able to get out of bed and walk again.

　　Xiao Cheng, 22, is from Chizhou, Anhui, and attends university in Bengbu. On July 15, 2016, while riding his bicycle, he was struck by a truck. After two weeks of intensive medical treatment, although he remained conscious, he suffered quadriplegia and was unable to move, confined to his bed.

　　This situation has left the family deeply concerned about Xiao Cheng’s future. After seeking advice, they transferred him to Nanjing Zijin Hospital for treatment on July 29.

　　Following ongoing pharmacological and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, Xiao Cheng’s limb function gradually improved. He then underwent acupuncture and rehabilitation training, and by December 2016, he was able to get out of bed and walk—much to the delight of his family.

　　On January 17, Xiao Cheng was discharged and returned home with his family for the Lunar New Year. Two days later, his family specially asked a fellow townsman to present the hospital with a banner, expressing their gratitude to the hospital and its medical staff.
