Children’s Day on June 1 is the festival that kids love most, yet some children must spend it in the hospital due to illness or accidents.

On June 1, 2018, in the wards of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, every hospitalized child received a gift, and the children celebrated Children’s Day together with doctors and nurses.
 

At present, more than ten children are hospitalized at Nanjing Zijin Hospital; most were admitted in serious condition. Thanks to the meticulous treatment and care provided by the doctors and nurses, they are steadily recovering. Some have been transferred from the intensive care unit to regular wards, while others have regained the ability to live completely independently.

Nurses in each ward, while presenting gifts to the children, also offered them heartfelt wishes, encouraging them to face their illness with courage and to approach treatment and rehabilitation with a positive attitude.

Suffering from illness at such a young age is undoubtedly a misfortune, but the unwavering support of loved ones and the constant care of doctors and nurses have given this child immense courage to overcome disease and face life’s challenges.

Keep it up, my child! Today’s hardships will one day give way to tomorrow’s blessings—there’s surely a bright future ahead!
