Letter from the patient’s family: Let the flower of love bloom beautifully.

A letter from Mr. Zhou Chaoxian, a family member of the patient:

Nanjing Zijin Hospital:
I am a family member of patient in bed 421. My 73-year-old husband, Zhang Rui, was hospitalized in January for a fracture of his left leg. In May, he also suffered complications from a pulmonary infection. For more than six months now, he has been confined to bed, which is truly distressing.
At the end of June, my spouse was admitted to your hospital. Over the past month, thanks to the hospital’s comprehensive and meticulous treatment—including manual therapy, acupuncture, bed‑standing exercises, and nutritional support—his frail body has shown marked improvement. His previously stiff left leg has begun to bend with ease, and, most encouragingly, with family assistance, he is now able to get out of bed and sit in a wheelchair. His quality of life has improved significantly, bringing renewed hope for his recovery.
Today, Monday, was originally scheduled for discharge. In response to my request to enhance rehabilitation of my standing function, Dr. Luo Jing and Head Nurse Song Xiuyun provided their full understanding and support. I would like to express my sincere gratitude; this four-day extension is a testament to the respect afforded to life, and I will cooperate wholeheartedly. May the hope of life warm each of our hearts, and may the flower of love bloom beautifully at Zijin Hospital!
Hello to all the nurses on the fourth floor—thank you!

Family member of Bed 421, Zhou Chaoxian
