From October 17 to 19, 2019, the 28th National Conference on Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine of the Chinese Medical Association was held in Fuzhou.
 

The conference was hosted by the Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and received a total of 161 submissions, of which 47 were selected for oral presentations. Jiangsu Province had four papers chosen for oral presentation, including one by Gao Zhiqiang, deputy director of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, which was recognized as an outstanding paper at the conference—also the only paper from Jiangsu to receive this distinction.

At this conference, Nanjing Zijin Hospital submitted a total of six papers, accounting for 30% of all submissions from Jiangsu Province. While both the quantity and quality of these contributions place the hospital among the top private institutions, there remains a gap compared with its overall strategic objectives. Moving forward, our hospital will continue to refine its incentive mechanisms, encourage all medical staff to actively engage in scholarly writing, foster a robust academic environment, and inject sustained momentum into the advancement of hospital‑wide research, thereby making an even greater contribution to the development of rehabilitation medicine.
