At the end of September this year, Grandma Xia fell into a coma due to a cerebral hemorrhage. On October 12, she was transferred to Nanjing Zijin Hospital. It took three days in the ICU before she regained consciousness, and even after being moved to a regular ward, her language functions still required ongoing treatment. During this period—nearly a month—she found herself unable to hum familiar melodies, feeling as though something essential was missing from her life.
 

Last week, Grandma Xia recovered well and had her tracheal tube removed. Her speech function has also returned to normal, and she can finally “show off her voice” once again.
