Our hospital’s Rehabilitation Center has added Guanyu moxibustion and herbal fumigation therapies.

Recently, the Rehabilitation Therapy Center at Nanjing Zijin Hospital has launched two new therapies—Fuyang Du Mai moxibustion and herbal fumigation—further meeting the diverse treatment needs of patients. Some individuals with an interest in traditional Chinese medicine have already been among the first to experience these treatments.

Du‑meridian moxibustion is the “emperor” of all moxibustion techniques and is a specialized form of herbal moxibustion that is on the verge of being lost. The Du meridian governs the body’s yang qi, connecting externally to the skin and internally to the zang‑fu organs. Herbal fumigation is one of the external treatment methods in traditional Chinese medicine; after extensive clinical experience, our hospital has selected herbs such as Chuanxiong and Duhuo. When combined, these herbs promote blood circulation and resolve stasis, warm the channels and dispel cold, expel wind and dampness, reduce inflammation and relieve pain, and strengthen the tendons and bones, thereby contributing significantly to patients’ recovery.

Du‑meridian moxibustion and steam therapy, as effective rehabilitation treatments, deliver remarkable benefits to patients with rheumatic and bone disorders, neurological conditions, and postoperative sequelae. They are also well suited for the broad population experiencing sub‑health; anyone can use Du‑meridian moxibustion and steam therapy to boost immune function and alleviate fatigue.
