This year, 66-year-old Grandpa Liang suffered an intracranial hemorrhage after an accidental fall and was admitted to our hospital for rehabilitation. During his stay, he experienced limited range of motion and pain in multiple joints—including the shoulder, elbow, and hand—due to motor dysfunction, with symptoms progressively worsening and significantly impeding his recovery. After a multidisciplinary consultation involving physicians and therapists, a traditional Chinese medicine treatment plan was developed based on his condition. Following a period of therapy, Grandpa Liang has now regained normal function and is able to carry out daily activities without difficulty.
Unbeknownst to the medical staff, Grandpa Liang arrived at the rehabilitation center’s treatment room, bearing a letter of gratitude and a banner, and personally presented his thanks to the therapist.
