National “Respect the Elderly Month” Campaign: Caring for the Health of Older Patients

The Double Ninth Festival, also known as the Chongyang Festival, the “Sun-Drying Autumn” Festival, or the “Autumn‑Stepping” Festival, is a traditional Chinese holiday dedicated to honoring and caring for the elderly. On the morning of October 11, a health lecture for senior patients was held in the first-floor lobby of Nanjing Zijin Hospital.

Executive Vice President Gao Zhiqiang delivered a speech at the event.

Liu Yafeng, director of the ward, delivered a public‑health talk on common and frequently occurring diseases among middle-aged and older adults, emphasizing that health hinges on effective management, while disease prevention is paramount.

Deputy head nurse Zhang Nan provided a briefing on fall prevention and on-site management for elderly patients, with the hope that… Raise awareness, work together to implement preventive measures, and minimize risks.

Promote outstanding traditional culture and care for the health of our elderly. Moving forward, Nanjing Zijin Hospital will continue to organize health education programs that honor and support seniors, actively fostering among middle-aged and older adults a mindset of early prevention, early detection, and early treatment, thereby effectively reducing the incidence of disease.
