On January 6, the Department of Neurosurgery at Nanjing Gulou Hospital and Nanjing Zijin Hospital jointly established a Brain Rehabilitation Center and held an unveiling ceremony.

　　Hang Chunhua, Director of the Department of Neurosurgery at Nanjing Gulou Hospital, stated that the joint establishment of a brain rehabilitation center by both parties brings together their respective strengths, thereby providing greater convenience and offering hope to more patients with brain injuries.

　　The Department of Neurosurgery at Nanjing Gulou Hospital is a key clinical specialty in Jiangsu Province, the Jiangsu Provincial Center for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Cerebrovascular Diseases, and a key clinical specialty in Nanjing. It is also an authorized training site for master’s and doctoral degrees, and annually admits a large number of patients with traumatic brain injury. Meanwhile, Nanjing Zijin Hospital focuses primarily on the treatment of brain injuries; more than 70% of its patients are diagnosed with such conditions, and many patients in a vegetative state have achieved neurological recovery there.
