The Brain Resuscitation Group of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine Branch of the Jiangsu Provincial Medical Association has been established.
On the afternoon of August 18, 2022, the inaugural meeting of the Brain Resuscitation Group of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine Branch of the Jiangsu Medical Association was successfully held at the Jiangning Campus of Nanjing Zijin Hospital. Leaders from the Organization and Management Department of the Jiangsu Medical Association, along with experts from numerous hospitals in Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, Yancheng, Huai’an, Taixing, Zhenjiang, Nantong, Liyang, and other cities across Jiangsu Province (listed in no particular order), attended the meeting both online and offline.

At the outset of the meeting, Ms. Ge Jiangping, President of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, presented an overview of the hospital’s development, its talent pool, specialized disciplines, and international exchanges and collaborations, covering six key areas.
Director Chen Linsheng, Chairman of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine Branch of the Jiangsu Provincial Medical Association, delivered a compelling video presentation summarizing the branch’s work over the past three years.
As the first specialized subgroup under the Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine Branch of the Jiangsu Provincial Medical Association, the Brain Resuscitation Group was established through a series of steps, including submitting an application, undergoing a defense, and receiving deliberation. Its 23 members come from various disciplines—such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, rehabilitation, neurosurgery, neurology, and critical care—at leading hospitals.
Leaders from the Organization and Management Department of the Jiangsu Provincial Medical Association announced the list of study groups and expressed high expectations, hoping that the establishment of the Brain Resuscitation Group will spark greater collaboration and enable members to make even more significant contributions to the field of brain resuscitation.
As the leader of the Brain Resuscitation Group under the Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine Branch of the Jiangsu Provincial Medical Association, Gao Zhiqiang, Executive Vice President of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, delivered a statement at the conference. Looking back on the past, he expressed gratification at seeing numerous patients regain hope for life through hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Reflecting on the present, he also felt great pride, noting that advances in brain–computer interfaces and transcranial magnetic stimulation have propelled the field of brain resuscitation to new heights. Looking ahead, he acknowledged the weight of responsibility while remaining confident. Under the organizational leadership of the Hyperbaric Oxygen Medicine Branch of the Jiangsu Provincial Medical Association, the Brain Resuscitation Group will rise to the occasion and make its due contribution to ensuring that Jiangsu’s expertise in cerebral resuscitation remains at the forefront nationwide.
