The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has concluded successfully. To better study, publicize, and implement the spirit of the Congress, the Sixth Administrative Party Branch of Jiangsu Vocational College of Health and the Party Branch of Nanjing Zijin Hospital jointly organized a paired‑building activity at the Jiangning Campus of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, under the theme “Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress, Jointly Building a Shared Vision for Health.”
This event was chaired by Ge Jiangping, Secretary of the Party Branch of Nanjing Zijin Hospital.
Vice President Zhang Hongping of Jiangsu Vocational College of Health and Wellness delivered a speech at the event, noting that several of the college’s graduates have, over the past decade or so, grown into key technical personnel at our institution, a development that she welcomed wholeheartedly. Vice President Zhang also commended Nanjing Zijin Hospital for its comprehensive approach to talent development and expressed her hope for even deeper collaboration in future internship programs and employment opportunities.
After Secretary Ge Jiangping briefly outlined the development of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, the event moved on to its key segment. Secretary Wang Lijun of the Sixth Administrative Party Branch of Jiangsu Vocational College of Health and Wellness led the participants in studying the spirit of the report delivered at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Secretary Wang’s interpretation of the Congress’s guiding principles deepened everyone’s understanding of its core messages, reinforcing the conviction that theoretical insights can be more effectively translated into concrete action.
“Clinical practice breathes life into the years, while rehabilitation breathes years back into life.” Through case presentations, Qi Yuliang, head of the Rehabilitation Treatment Center at Nanjing Zijin Hospital, shared real‑world examples of patients with disorders of consciousness who were successfully discharged after receiving rehabilitation at the hospital. He stated that, guided by the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the hospital’s medical, technical, and nursing teams will continue to uphold a pioneering spirit—daring to break new ground and diligently pursuing innovation—and actively explore pathways forward in the field of brain‑resuscitation rehabilitation. In doing so, they aim to help more patients achieve successful discharge from Nanjing Zijin Hospital, enabling the “butterfly of freedom” within each patient to take flight.
After listening to Secretary Wang’s lecture and Director Qi’s sharing, the Party members in attendance and our hospital’s prospective Party members gained profound insights, freely expressed their views, and enthusiastically voiced their new goals and expectations for the journey ahead. Wu Jialei, Deputy Director of the Student Affairs Office of the Sixth Administrative Party Branch at Jiangsu Vocational College of Health and Wellness, stated that they must persist in studying theoretical knowledge, integrate theory with practice, and further strengthen the coordination between the college and the hospital. Dr. Jing Peng, a master’s degree holder at our hospital, remarked after hearing the inspiring presentations that, going forward, he will firmly implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress in his work, ensuring that patients “receive proper medical care from competent physicians.”
Ge Jiangping, Secretary of the Party Branch at Nanjing Zijin Hospital, expressed deep agreement with the remarks made by all Party members and prospective Party members. At the conclusion of the event, she stated: “Health is an essential prerequisite for promoting well-rounded human development, a foundational condition for economic and social progress, a key indicator of national prosperity and strength, and a shared aspiration of the broad masses. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized in the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China that we must advance the building of a Healthy China—this represents an unprecedented opportunity for our health and wellness work. Through this study session, we have once again deepened our understanding, clarified our thinking, and gained valuable insights to guide the hospital’s future endeavors.” She encouraged everyone to press forward with determination, braving challenges and forging ahead, so as to contribute the unique strengths of Zijin Hospital to the high-quality advancement of Nanjing’s efforts in realizing Chinese‑style modernization.
