On the afternoon of February 2, Professor Li Jian’an, an International Member of the U.S. National Academy of Medicine and a leading authority in rehabilitation medicine, visited our hospital for a consultation and ward round. This marked Professor Li’s first consultation at our hospital since the 2023 Spring Festival, as well as the first high‑profile expert consultation held after everyone had recovered from COVID‑19.

During the consultation, Professor Li Jian’an provided a detailed analysis and explanation of several representative cases, offering meticulous guidance on treatment, nursing, and rehabilitation. Accompanied by our hospital’s staff, Professor Li also conducted ward rounds to provide hands-on clinical instruction. He engaged warmly with inpatients and their families, inquired about each patient’s condition, patiently listened to the attending physicians’ case presentations, and offered expert clinical advice. Finally, he formulated a plan for the next steps in diagnosis and treatment, along with pertinent recommendations tailored to each patient’s situation.

During this consultation, ward round, and teaching session, our hospital’s medical staff gained invaluable insights and expressed their intention to thoroughly assimilate Professor Li Jian’an’s guidance, striving to enhance their professional competence in order to better serve patients.

Inviting leading experts to participate in ward rounds and consultations has been a longstanding initiative at our hospital. This approach not only elevates the hospital’s clinical, educational, and research capabilities but also enables our patients to access high‑level diagnostic and treatment services from renowned specialists without leaving the hospital grounds. Moving forward, we will continue to leverage our strengths by establishing multi‑tiered, multi‑channel consultation and ward‑round programs, regularly inviting distinguished provincial and national experts to conduct rounds, deliver lectures, and provide guidance, thereby advancing our academic disciplines and ensuring that our patients receive even better care.
