Upon entering the hospital department, I discovered consumable technology.
The Nanjing International Medical Consumables Expo Center, jointly developed by the Nanjing Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau and the Pukou District Government of Nanjing, is the nation’s first international expo dedicated to medical consumables. With a total floor area of approximately 24,000 square meters, it integrates multiple functions, including a consumables exhibition hall, an enterprise product pavilion, a professional conduct education center, a pharmaceutical price negotiation hub, and a pharmaceutical data monitoring center. Guided by docents, visitors sequentially toured the medical consumables exhibition hall, the special exhibit on combating the COVID‑19 pandemic, and the professional conduct education center.
The medical consumables exhibition hall is organized around the hospital’s core departments—general surgery, neurology, orthopedics, critical care medicine, gastroenterology, and more—offering a comprehensive overview. It features dedicated zones for standard consumables, cutting-edge technologies, and a special exhibit on combating the COVID‑19 pandemic. Through thematic spaces, high-tech displays, and interactive experiences, the exhibition provides a holistic view of the past, present, and future of the consumables sector, highlighting the medical advancements and health benefits brought by modern technology.
Focusing on integrity and anti-corruption, fostering a culture of clean governance.
Led by the docent, the group proceeded to the fourth floor to visit the Integrity Education Hall. The exhibition is organized into four sections: “Setting Sail and Ushering in a New Chapter,” “Dispelling Evil with Law Through Case Studies,” “Precise Oversight to Prevent Problems Before They Arise,” and “Cultivating Integrity to Uphold Righteousness.” Each section delivers anti-corruption education through vivid, thought‑provoking visuals and compelling real‑world case studies.
The rear section of the Professional Ethics Education Hall also showcases the exemplary achievements of outstanding medical professionals from across time and around the world. In particular, upon seeing the “Top Ten Doctors of the Nanjing Region,” everyone was greatly inspired and pledged to emulate the role models right beside them.
Following the visit, participants unanimously agreed that it was an unforgettable session of integrity education, one that not only highlighted the joy brought by advances in medical science but also provided a profound moral awakening through sobering lessons. Ge Jiangping, Secretary of the Party Branch and President of Nanjing Zijin Hospital, emphasized that everyone must take this as a cautionary tale, constantly reminding themselves with negative examples, consciously strengthening their commitment to integrity and self-discipline, firmly upholding ethical boundaries, never crossing red lines or encroaching on high‑risk areas, and forever preserving the upright and incorruptible character of medical professionals.
Event Summary
As the exhibition’s closing remarks aptly put it, “Health is at stake; lives are entrusted to us”—a solemn pledge that every healthcare professional makes upon entering the sacred halls of medicine. The inspiring vision of building a Healthy China lies ahead, and each of us is both a participant, a witness, and a beneficiary. May we all work together to foster a new ethos of integrity and professionalism in our field, contributing the strength of medical practitioners to the cause of public health.
