To comprehensively enhance the hospital’s service capacity and standards, promote the continuous improvement of medical quality and safety, and advance the hospital toward greater standardization, scientific rigor, and institutionalization, on March 15, a team of evaluation experts from the China Association of Private Medical Institutions visited Nanjing Zijin Hospital to conduct on-site guidance for the national industry‑level assessment.

On-site Coaching Kickoff Meeting

　　Wang Shan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Private Medical Institutions; Dong Hui, Deputy Director of the Medical Quality Evaluation Center; Wang Jiusheng, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Renal Dialysis Specialized Committee; Bi Sheng, Chairman of the Rehabilitation Medicine Specialized Committee; Chen Wenhua, Medical Director of Lanhai Rehabilitation Hospital at Shanghai First People’s Hospital; Guo Junyan, Director of the Nursing Department at Peking University International Hospital; Fu Gang, Director of the Network and Information Security Management Division at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention; along with other evaluation experts; as well as hospital leaders including Ge Jiangping, President of Nanjing Zijin Hospital; Executive Vice President Gao Zhiqiang; and Vice President Wang Yifang; together with heads of various departments, quality control officers, and relevant liaison personnel—more than 70 participants attended the on-site guidance kickoff meeting. Speech by Wang Shan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Private Medical Institutions

　　Wang Shan, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Association of Non‑Public Medical Institutions, delivered a speech. She began by commending the hospital’s application for the national industry evaluation, noting that such an assessment is a comprehensive undertaking and an effective tool for holistically enhancing hospital management and service capabilities. As Jiangsu Province’s first privately‑run, Grade III rehabilitation hospital, Nanjing Zijin Hospital has consistently advanced in the fields of cerebral resuscitation and critical care rehabilitation. During the process of applying for the national industry evaluation, the hospital can further refine its practices toward greater standardization and regularization, thereby fostering high‑quality development. This expert‑led guidance mission will spare no effort: adhering to established criteria, it will identify gaps, pinpoint issues, and propose targeted improvements and measures, thus leveraging the evaluation to strengthen infrastructure, drive reform, and elevate the hospital’s clinical quality and overall service capacity.

Speech by Ge Jiangping, President of Nanjing Zijin Hospital

　　President Ge Jiangping of Nanjing Zijin Hospital extended a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to all the experts for their visit and guidance, and provided an overview of the hospital’s development journey, guiding principles, departmental structure, academic and research activities, and talent cultivation. President Ge stated that the hospital will take this mentoring session as an opportunity to carefully heed the experts’ opinions and recommendations, pursue continuous improvement, and approach the next round of formal on-site evaluation with an even stronger stance and enhanced achievements.

Expert-led group tutoring

　　Following the kickoff meeting, the expert panel divided into four working groups—“Integrity and Credit Development, Administrative Management”; “Medical Quality and Safety”; “Nursing and Hospital Infection Control Management”; and “Hospital Culture and Services, Information Technology Development, and Brand Innovation”—to provide detailed interpretations of the industry evaluation criteria and associated guidelines. Through presentations, document reviews, thorough responses to questions, and on-site visits to clinical departments, the experts conducted a comprehensive assessment and offered guidance across these areas. They also put forward constructive recommendations and suggestions for the hospital in such domains as integrated management, discipline development, talent cultivation, medical record quality, hospital cultural development, and brand innovation.

On-site Coaching Feedback Session

　　At the feedback session, the experts fully commended the hospital’s achievements and, in accordance with the inspection criteria, offered specific and detailed recommendations for improvement across their respective areas of expertise. They emphasized that the hospital can seize this opportunity to identify shortcomings and implement immediate corrective measures. For issues requiring more time to address or enhance, the hospital is encouraged to develop a phased action plan and pursue sustained progress, thereby further elevating its management standards and service capabilities and fostering more standardized, higher‑quality development.

President Ge Jiangping of Nanjing Zijin Hospital stated that, throughout the day’s on-site coaching sessions, the experts’ extensive management experience and precise, hands-on guidance proved immensely beneficial. In response to the recommendations put forward by the experts, the hospital will carefully consider and analyze them, draw broader lessons from specific cases, and develop practical, actionable plans. Seizing the opportunity presented by the national industry assessment, the hospital will undertake comprehensive improvements in both management and service delivery—laying a solid foundation for the next formal round of the national evaluation and establishing a robust cornerstone for its future development.
